Cruise Control Problem
I had the same problem this morning with a '10 SS/TC. I pulled off the road, turn the car off, turned it back on, and it worked. The "cold weather" theory could work, being that it was 18*F this morning. I also do have a habit of resting my foot on the clutch. This is the first time it has happened to me.

The tail light thing is something with the resistance to turn the lights on when you hit the brakes, and that might mess up the cc.
OP, did you try the battery thing yet?
i havent tried it yet no. but ive basically got the answers i need. if i disconnect the battery ill get a temporary fix because chevy is stupid and made the car throw a code from resting your foot on the clutch pedal.. which everybody does unless your on the highway or roads where you dont need to slow down often. the other way is to get my car tuned which i plan on doing soon anyways. i dont drive on the highway often so at the moment in in no rush to do it. but im sure it will work until i throw the code AGAIN! god knows i will. im driving 13 hours to myrtle beach on the 9th so ill do it before the trip to see what happens and hopefully itll work so i wont have to be holding the gas pedal the ENTIRE time.
I don't
I ONLY ever touch my clutch when I need to push it. Resting your foot on it can cause premature/excessive clutch wear, as far as I understand.
it should not cause problems.. i dont literally press it but if im in traffic or something or in city driving like i do when u stop alot. it just makes sense to have your foot ready to hit the clutch.. same thing as the brake. do u have your foot on he gas until the exact second that u have to brake? thats stupid. with all the technology and crap in cars i guess it can cause things to happen such as this but for the most part it shouldnt do a thing. as far as premature clutch wear.. i dont see how that could happen when my clutch doesnt disengage until about half depress of the pedal. if i press it at all while my foot is resting on it itll be only as much as the loosness of the pedal which isnt much. so..
well mines been acting up, misfired hard in a wide open pull, cleared the cel, and dint work till after the cel was cleared, so a misfire can cause that too?! no foot resting on clutch here, the time before no cel had been thrown, happened twice already.
