Cruise Control Won't Set
I rarely use it. Not because I don't want to, but I keep forgetting about it as no other car I've owned had it. Since I've bought the car 2 weeks ago until today, I've used it maybe three or four times. But I took it into the dealer for other service and now it won't work. Want to charge me $122 to fix it when it wasn't broken until they worked on something unrelated.
What the hell could they have done to screw it up?

I had it in for some work on the power steering, something about a recall on the motor or whatever. So like you said, maybe they pinched a wire or forgot to connect something back up when they reassembled the steering column.

I had this too there are a couple reasons on here for it. Mine turned out to be a really weird code about having pushed the clutch in so many times or something. it doesn't throw a CEL but it does click of your cruise. another has something to do with the tail lights but I didn't really understand that one.

Check your brake lights and fuse? i have heard that when you tail lights go then the crusie control wont work either. some body switched to led third light and he had to install a resister for the cruise to work.

ive had the same problem......the code is a code comes fromthe clutch pedal making some slight contact with the sthats on the clutch pedal for the cruise to disengade it to keep you from over reveing it when you need to either shift or stop......your probaly resting your foot on the clutch a lil bit(I know...ive done it).....you have a few options....1...find someone with a scan tool to reset it....2....take it to them and have the dealership do it....or 3...give it a while and it will work....
