Angry Damn Dealership

So i took the car in about a week ago to do the recall work for the fuel pump and power steering motor. The dealership was suppose to fix the car cause I was getting a fuel smell thats the reason i took it in. they fix that part so when the guy was returning my car it sounded like **** i mean bad like it wanted to die. I should have known then so i told the guy what did they do to my car. so then service guys says sorry give me a minute and takes it back then comes back with the car sounding normal he just earsed the code. since the the car has been going into limp mode every other day. the day i got it back i came home parked it in the garage and it sat there for like 1 1\2 to 2 days. so i go to start it and the battery is died this has never happened before with my car. now if i leave it for like a day my battery is almost dead. today i when to start it the battery was dead and it when straight into limp mode sounded the worst i ever heard her i was like WTF. I called the dealership the first time when the battery was dead the guy said to bring it in. Taking it in on wed hope my car start tomorow to go to work. Sorry about the rant but this **** really pisses me off ******* dealership are ******* retards they **** up my car. I just hate seeing her like this she my baby

They give it back to me with 17 extra miles and 3 weeks later my clutch master cyl. takes a poop... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, little ass kids eye-..cking my car as i pulled in. next time im going to STAY at the dealer and follow my car to the bay and watch em. its pointless to say anything to em. wtf are they gonna do? nothing

When i take my car in, I sit there and watch them work haha like i had to take mine in today for an ignition tumbler to be replaced and i stood by the bay and watched the guy work..cuz i dont want him to suddenly find out that my tranny needs replaced or something..seems to be their way.

Idk.. does it just sound shitty like misfiring or is the idle all over the place? When my Pcm took a ****, it ran like it was on its last legs. Did that the first week I had the car lol.. needed a new computer. Threw multiple codes at the dealer when they were diagnosing. Car was totally stock.. until they put the new computer in lol. I figured the detuning made it go in meltdown mode :P Gm ran through it with a fine tune comb at that time to make sure nothing was done to it.. fools.. car was a week old ffs and they delayed me on my holidays... cuz of that issue, and their meddling.

OP that does sound pretty shitty of them. Not sure if any of the recall work they did caused it though. It probably sped up the failure though. Sounds like you're having some kind of electrical issue if you're battery is dying each time (maybe alternator), but not sure if there's anything else that could be wrong with it. Too hard to tell with an internet diagnosis. If it does happen to be the alternator, I have a spare that I don't mind letting go for a reasonable price.

See, I understand that it makes you upset that they took so long fixing your car. And although I don't know your entire situation with your particular dealer, I'm not inclined to think they are shitty for what they did. If anything, I'd want them to be thorough, even if it takes a while. At least that way they can rule out other symptoms, even if the car is brand new.

This was 2 years ago.. I don't care anymore, but that dealer is now out of business lol.. gee I wonder why. Anyways, they sent the old computer to GM in the Usa to have it analyzed, and wouldn't release a replacement until they could determine that it wasn't my fault. That was my main point.. car was 1 week old.. seriously...

dont get me wrong my dealer replaced my trans and belt tensioner after having a nice zzp pulley on the blower and blowing my trans via roll pin and wheel hop with 15 miles left on my warranty. but the KIDS they hire to bring the cars to the shop or w.e. is just absolutley off the wall. u should be at least 22 yrs old to work at a shop or dealer. thats my opinion...

Yea it shitty i dont care how long it takes as long as the give me a rental if its gonna be awhile. its entirely there fault the only's thing that was wrong with my car were the TB sensor trip the limp mode and the gas smell other than that idk. My battery never since i've had the car drained on me but all of a sudden it sits one day back from the dealer and its drain smells fishy to me. Also my car was going going into limp mode like once every 3 or 4 months now all of a sudden its doing it almost everyday WTF

That doesnt make sense, is this what they told you?
PCM's always have to be sent back under warranty. Its called a CORE.
And its very likely that your part had to be ordered from the USA, which takes a week.
And sure, we all know they closed the dealership because you were unhappy with the service.

Going to dealership tomorow. yesterday my car started acting up on me like my girls explorer and it was the fuel pump in the explorer. I think the fuel pump is defective cause when the fuel pump got over heated in the explorer it would start jerking and shutting off the same happened to my car yesterday. I also think its some thinf with the fuel pump thats draining my battery.

Yes, that is what they told me at the time; basically tried to say it was my fault that the computer fried itself...

So dropped off the car on monday morning they called me in the afternoon said that it wouldnt anything new till tuesday mroning ok. I didnt recieve a call at all today. Just to clear things up when i dropped it off they told me that if there was something wrong with it that i cause they would let me know. So i didnt recieve a phone call today so i was getting worried. I called around at around 330pm talked to the service rep he told me that it wouldnt be ready till tomorow that there gonna put a new "main computer" dont know if they meant pcm or ecm. So basicly they fucked my car up idk what they did but hope my car is gonna be fixed soon. Does anyone know what " main computer" means excatly?

I was talking to the service rep guy I'm a chef so we hit it off cause he wanted me to give his son a job cause he's graduating from culinary school. So i mean idk how much nicer I'm suppose to be lol this dealership that i took my car too is supose to be the best but i liked the one all the way on the other side of town. But i didnt think nothing of it you know cause it like right up the street from my house. So i figured recall work no problems there there i go thnking again lol

If you get 5 years oiut of a battery your generally got your moneys worth on a stock one.
Just buy anew one,it probably wont hold a charge anymore.
Your lucky you live where its warm all the time ,the winter here would of made the problem show up real quick at -30 celsius..

I worked in dealerships for over 15 years. They let your battery die, and left it dead for days. In other words, they killed one of the cells in the battery. It happens all the time in dealerships on factory batteries. A lot of techs leave car doors open for HOURS, headlights on for HOURS, and then jump start the car with one of those portable jumpers.

I fried the factory "Yausa" battery in my new 2009 Subaru 2.5 RS Coupe during a photo shoot. I had all my lights on, plus the fogs, with the ignition on (car not running). The photographer took his time taking shots and I should have turned off the ignition after 5 minutes. Killed one the cells in the battery. Luckily, the car was still under warranty and I got a new battery..

I always disconnected the battery if I had the car for a long time and didn't need to start/ run/ drive it.

Long story short; the dealership killed your battery. Demand a new one/ go get the general manager, and raise a stink in the showroom. Talk loud so the customers can hear you....

Good luck, Old Veteran Car Dude

Thanks for the advice yea im gonna make a big stink tomorow. cause i know that my battery is 5 years old but i didnt have any problems with another issue with the car other than the fuel smell and the exhaust leak by that last one is my fault. other than that my car was fine but the same weekend when i got my car back i started to have all these problems. they messed my car up and they should own up to it and fix it. i just want my car back how i had it when i took it in for the before the recall work just no fuel smell lol
