Dashboard gauges going crazy whilst driving, on video.

Can anybody help please.

Chevy Cobalt 2006 problem - YouTube

...this happened once last year for 5 seconds, then it never happened again. This time it lasted 8 minutes. No problems with driving unless i would stop, then under 15 mph it would hesitate to stay running, the shifting would struggle from 1-2 and 2-3 and almost die. Automatic engine.

Mods are as follows:

Power Control Module | Stage 2
Part #: 10608S

JET V-Force Plus Performance Module
Part #: 68021

Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor
Part #: 69143

Mods were installed 2.5 years ago. Pretty sure the mods are not the problem.

thanks for your help Cobaltss, hope we can figure this out.

Like you said with me, it happened, then goes away for a long time then happens again at random. WIth me, when I stoped the problem cleared itself. It set a few codes wich i put in the linked thread. If you want get your codes scaned at the dealership, autozones scanner only reads PCM codes, you probaly have BCM codes like I did. Cost me like 40 bux.

That is a good video of that problem. Mine has been doing that a while now, just less of a deflection. I grounded out the TCM case to the car and has helped. It is still doing it but it is less. I think I have bad TCM.

Confirmed. My cruise control has an effect on the code. 90 percent of the time when i use cruise, the U0073 code triggers. sometimes within 10 minutes, other times with in 2 hours. Ideas?

As of now 9-5-2013, still having the problem. Happens even when the car isn't running, just in the "ON" position. Thoughts?

Crazy Guages

I had this issue with my SS/TC when I first got it (pre-owned) this year.. Some electrical testing led me to a bad ground. Found the battery in the trunk, cleaned off the negative terminal and tightened the connection back down. VOILA, no more crazy gauges! Hope this helps!
