Hi,

I've owned my 06 SS SC for a month and a half now and was looking to get some more power out of it with the GMPP Stage 2 kit. So I called my local dealership up and asked what it would cost to install it and keep my warranty.

After explaning what the kit was that GM produced and informing them that you do in fact maintain your warranty with it, the assitant service manager said he would look into it and get back to me on it. 4 days later I call and asked him what he found out. He gave me a run around about seeing if his boss would allow the install and that the boss wasn't in yet. One week later I get a call from the assistant manager informing me that the manager will not authorize the install of the stage kits. Apparently another customer just recently came in with a stage 2 kit and threw 23 cel codes and had rampant problems. So the manager will not allow installs because he thinks they'll just be raced then and the owners will claim bad installation on the dealerships end to get free warranty work.

So heres the catcher. I did not buy my SS SC from them. I bought it 200 miles away. But I checked with them before buying out of town to see if they had a blue SS SC and they informed me that they didn't and have any and never ordered any in that color in the past. Nor any other dealership for 100 miles. The assistant manager said the 23 cel code error Cobalt was blue....

What should I do?

 

Find another dealer.......... Don't have it installed somewhere that isn't familiar with the kit or the install. If it took them almost a week just to come up with that conclusion........well, you figure out the rest.
