Diagnosing no power
Diagnosing no power
Hello all, new here. I've noticed that my 2006 ss has no power, when driving at any speed. I find myself worrying about getting up hills. It's running hotter than normal but not overheating (normal temp is roughly 180 now it's closer to 220 and hot when taking a hill), the boost gauge is saying it's making boost, when there is clearly no power.
I've not checked the fluid at the IC pump because I don't seem to have a filler neck. I have two coolant tanks but the tank on the driver's side appears to be overflow only, I don't see anything but one thin line running to it while the other is clearly running to the radiator.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I love this car and want it back.

clogged cat?
take the cap off of the option b tank and turn the key to the accessory position, you should see flow.
If you just bought this car and haven't changed the IC pump you should do that, 9 times out of 10 that thing is bad.

I second the clogged cat though
