Difficulty starting after refueling

So as the title states I am having trouble starting my car after I fill it up at the gas station. Basically what happens is after I refuel the car will crank over and then shut right back off if I don't immediately press the gas pedal. It also won't stay on unless I give it gas constantly until I can get it driving down the highway for about a mile or so, then it runs normally. I'm thinking it has something to do with the pressure in the fuel tank because one time when I went to fill up the gas station attendant had removed the gas cap before I shut the car off and once he took it off the car starting idling erratically, jumping from around 500-1500 rpms. This makes exiting the gas station very difficult since I have to constantly juggle blipping the throtle to keep her running and applying the brakes so I don't just roll out onto the highway in to traffic. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any ideas as to what could be causeing this to happen. The car is a 06 ss/sc

Evap purge selinoid ,located under the hood is the usual problem with those symptoms.
Easy to replace and cheap,it sits on the right side of the head when looking at the motor on the top edge.

Mine runs fine. every once and a while on a cold start it will bounce from 1100 to like 500 then back up to 1100 then back down to 500 and eventually stable out at 900 then drop back to about 800

but EVERY SINGLE TIME after filling up

it will either try to start and stall... or start bounce a few times and stall out. if im pressing like 15% throttle while starting it and hold it there for like 10-15 seconds then let off itll run fine.

so glad i came across this thread

Its the evap solenoid, i replaced it a week or so ago and the problem is gone. Its also really easy to change on your own, 10 min or so.
