Does anyone know ...
Yet another thing made for Canadians.
I wonder if they ever proved that Canada has a lower rate of accidents than the US because of the daytime running lights...
If Canada wanted to make roads safer they'd stop making curbs the way they do. Take a look at the curbs in some southern states....they are not a step up but rather a roll. This allows drivers to pull onto the grass in an emergency all the while not completely totalling their front end. Here driving over a curb at anything over 5km an hour almost certainly assures you a tow from there, unless you have an SUV..

Enuffboost I just checked the fuse section of the manual, and it doesnt look like there is an Autolight fuse, like the one in my friends SRT4, so really the only thing you can do, is ungplug them during the day and put them back in at night I guess, would be kind of a hassle but if you really dont like the full on headlights and just rather have the ambers on it would be worth it I suppose. I'm actually thinking of doing it because I'd really rather just have the ambers on when its still broad daylight but its after a certain time at night when the headlights go on automatically. That's the only solution I can see right now, I'll ask around some more see what I come up with and keep ya posted.
Actually I checked around too. Spoke with a tech guy at GM who has a cobalt. He said there is a relay that could be yanked for the DRL but not one for the auto lights (if I remember correctly). In any case, he said pulling fuses is never really a good idea so I have come to ters with the lights off function being useless to those of us with DRL in Canada.

Can I have back the 20 minutes it took me to read this thread? I think I killed a few hundred brain cells reading it.

My exact thoughts as far as the power steering goes... you forgot one more thing, coolant!

Actually, he forgot more than that. If you read his response where he belittles me for not knowing that we have "electric powered steering" you'd know that in writing a 30 word response he has made at least 5 spelling and grammer mistakes.
FYI:
Awesome not awsome
Research not researh
Hence not hense
Hydraulic not hydralic

Word of advice - if you are going to post a reply to a thread to announce that someone is stupid for asking a question about power steering after having a car for 3 days (at least I asked), then you might want to make sure that your response doesn't demonstrate that you have the spelling skills of a 9 year old.
And as for the genius who pointed out that you forgot that we have coolant too, you may have also wanted to point out that MANY cars that DO need power steering fluid ARE ALSO power assisted, or as he so eloquently put it, "electric power steering".
