Ive been having about problem after problem with my cobalt for about the past two weeks, mainly with me getting up to speed and down shifting into second; the car dies right after leaving a message of the reduced engine power and then dieing on me shortly after when i pyll off the side of the road. Ive replaced a couple of part so far but from what i have read in a lot of thread people are having that same problem and its their CPS. if any one knows how to replace those on thier own without taking it to a shop with any diagrams or anything else i would greatly appreciate it. Ive already got the part in, now i just need to install itl

did you get this figured out? I'm curiosu myself. I'm looking at all possible reasone for why my car just went into eng reduced pwr mode.

 

Do you have a check engine line before hand? What is the code? Mine does this and it is a P1182 and it deals with the SCIP... Is this the same thing you are talking about?

 

well turns out i'm throwing P2176 P2101 and P1516. I think I'm going to have to change my TB.
