After the dealership raped my headliner (see other thread), I noticed this on the door jams of my coupe;



I dont exactly know what the plastic stopper is for, but Im thinking its for the door chime. It is made out of plastic, without a rubber head, and it's taken a good deal of paint off of the door. Does anyone else have this on their car?

I know that, I want to know if other people have the paint wear.

 

See if you can wipe it off with some wax, if not then it needs to be repainted, that is covered under warranty no part should cause that issue, though we are seeing issues with the Pontiac g6 movable tops rubbing on the deck lid causing this paint wear.

 

 

its on the inside of the door... I really wouldnt worry about it. mine does that too.
