when accelerating my car sounds very raspy and i think its the downpipe because ive already installed a brand new catback. can you guys explains to me what a bad downpipe may sound lke it sounds to me like the flex pipe is shaking on the metal.

 

that sounds like mine. it had a leak i just took it to a muffler shop and they said it was leaking at the flex part of the downpipe. Most muffler shops will look at it for free and the dealer will cover it under your warranty for i think 80,000 miles or so.
