Driver Door Won't Open

I've seen a few threads on this issue but I didn't see any solutions.

Like the other posts, my driver door wont open using both the inside or outside handles. The door will lock/unlock. Its just that the handles seem to have no tension, so the door won't unlatch.

Is there any solution to this? Did anyone have to go to the dealer?

Any help much appreciated.

Actually, yes. I thought I wasn't going to be able to but I was able to get it off. Taking the seats out was key to giving me enough room to work.

From there I took the inside door latch, took it apart and gave the wire a really good pull. That was able to unlock the door.

Not sure if taking the panel off did anything or not. Maybe if I pulled hard enough on that wire before taking the panel off it would have worked. IDK.

So issue resolved, sort of. Thanks for your help.

Now I need to decide if this latch assembly is bad or what.

i had this happen a few times, so i searched on here.

Where the door latch it it pulls on a cylinder shape metal piece connected to the wire that pulls. I clipped it back in and that fixed it. Second time it wasnt that..it was something sticking in the assembly (its covered in black plastic twords the lower left of the door with the panel off) I ended up shooting some lithium grease in there and it worked perfect since. I stole the idea someone else did it here.
