Driver's Door Won't Open!!
Driver's Door Won't Open!!
I was at AutoZone yesterday getting a new turn signal bulb and when I left the store to get in the car, I tried opening the driver's side door from the outside and it wouldn't work. Then I tried to open it from the inside (after crawling through the passenger side) and the inside driver's handle wouldn't work either.
Got a warranty-work appointment for it on Wednesday, will update after to let you guys know what it was.

Hey same thing happened to me. its weird. If you mess with the locks a little bit it goes back. I don't know how I did it. Its happened to me 3 times in the past month or so and never before. I think it may be related to the cold. If you get it fixed PM me with what happened.
Friggin' same thing happended to me today!!! Last 3 times I was able to mess with the power locks and finally got it open. A few days would go by and no problem. This usually happended in sub zero temps, but today, in Toronto, it's a few degrees above zero so wtf?? Gonna bring in Monday---Christmas Eve---aaggghhh!!!
same thing happened to me on thursday and i finally got around to looking at it today. messed with the locks for a while and it finally just worked and now its fine. hopefully it won't come back
I tried the locks...didn't work. When I try to open the outside handle, I can see this big old hunk of plastic between the handle and where it goes into the door--I think something's really really broken. Hope the GM techs don't have too hard of a time getting it open.
I've had the same problem. unlocking and locking a few times fixes temporarily. I just haven't had time to take it to the dealership to get it checked out, it is really annoying though. before I figured out the lock thing I was going in through the window, dukes of hazard style.
i had the same problem, i fiddled with the keyless entry button, unlock and lock a couple times, and it worked agean. but looks like a lot of people are haveing problems with it. i hope i will not have to service mine...
yeah...me too.... it sticks and when I go to close it it just bounces off the latch... some fiddling w/ the wireless keyfob thingy and it works again... I think I'll take it in when I do my next oil change for a warranty repair
I fiddled with the unlock button on the keyless entry fob and pulled the inside door handle at various intervals and something worked because now it once again works like a charm. I'm sure that since this is a problem that will get worse with time, I will have to cancel my appointment tomorrow since I know they won't be able to replicate the problem--but I'll take it in next time it happens, even though I know how to temporarily fix it.
Just an update.

EXACT same thing happened to me on xmas eve. I just messed with the locks a little, and got tension back on both handles, now it works perfect again.
I feel better its not just me, I"ll have to keep an eye on this.

happened to me so I stopped by the dealer and showed them. Fixed it under warranty. There was a clicking noice like something was binding in the door whenever I opened it from the inside.
Door wouldn't open yesterday after working fine all morning, so I took it to Chevy this morning. They got me right in and had me out within an hour. They said something was just binding up in there, and they greased and sealed everything so it wouldn't freeze up on me. All fixed....hopefully.
