E-Brake Doesn't Work
E-Brake Doesn't Work
When I'm parked on a flat surface, nothing happens. If I'm on a slight grade, the car will roll forward/back a foot or two before stopping. But if I'm on a medium grade or more, the brake won't catch even when pulled back all the way.
I've already made an appointment to have it looked at and corrected (at the same time I'm getting my power steering recall work done), but I was just wondering if there were any suggestions as to what it may/may not be so I'll be a bit more informed when I take it in and maybe not get screwed around as much.

Well I took it in today and according to the service sheet:
"Removed centre console trim to access e-brake cables. Found cable from rear right e-brake was stuck. On hoist, inspected and found mechanism on rear right caliper is seized and needs replacing."
Of course I could easily have it replaced for the low low cost of $463 (parts and labour). But I think I'll do some shopping around first.
