Hey so im going to say this and dont flame because of what i am going to say
I am actually going to take my car in to get the electric steering motor replaced because of recall yes ok no problem but CAN they void my warranty if i have a Cold air intake in it? I think they cant because the car has no check engine light or no problems with it and the steering motor is a recall action so they shouldnt have a REASON to tell me that the Cold air intake caused the problem. shitty part is getting replaced because of recall not because of CAI. I KNOW THAT
has anyone had an issue getting this kind of work done when they have bolt ons?

 

No the mods won't void the warranty unless they can prove that mod caused the issue.
For example i have a intake, prokit springs, Took out the auto dimming mirror and still got the recall done.

yeah youll be fine its a recall. your car can have anything and they cant do much at all. i just got my letter today for it took long enough haha

I don't recall them even opening the hood to do the recall. It was entirely under the dash If I remember right. Either way, you could have swapped out your motor for a big block Caterpillar, it wouldn't matter. What matters is whether or not the electric motor that is being recalled is still in place and original. Yours is, end or story.

 

I took mine in this morning,
They didn't say **** about my mods...
They were done in about half an hour too.
Granted the injectors and downsize pulley are a lil subtle
but I'm sure they saw my ZZP 3" intake. As well as my interceptors.
Well they might not have even opened the hood come to think about it.

 

I got a letter today too. Lol
