Unhappy Engine Hiccup?

Hey guys, I've tried searching all over for an answer and havent found a solution yet, so hopefully someone here can help.

I have an 07 SS/SC that has been acting up as of late. When at freeway speeds (65+) and around 2700-3200 rpms, occasionally (and not always) there will be a split second hesitation where the car will 'hiccup'. The engine sort of sounds like it cuts out for a millisecond, and the car bucks slightly.

I have replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs. Had my injectors and throttle body cleaned within the past 2 years. I have had a fuel service done (whatever that entails) at the dealer to try and fix this. The dealer cannot find anything wrong with it, and it hasn't thrown any codes. The hesitation seemed to get better after the fuel filter and plugs were changed, but it is still happening.

Has anyone else had this problem? The car only has 58,000 miles on it so I don't get why this is going on.

Some other things I've noticed recently - There is an increasingly noticeable exhaust leak, although I haven't had a chance to check out where it is coming from. I also just recently found out that my entire exhaust underneath the vehicle has begun to vibrate/shake enough to where I can see it moving underneath the car. Perhaps these are coincidence to the problem?

Any input or ideas is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Your exhaust leak could possibly be causing the problem. Are you completely stock? If you are, you could be losing a lot of back pressure once you get up to highway speeds and that could be causing the hiccup.

Maybe a clogged cat or if the leak is at the flexpipe (almost always is) then your secondary o2 sensor isnt getting.accurate readings

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm not stock. I'm stage 2, intake, and cat back as far as engine related. I didn't even think about the cat, thats a great point. And the leak seems to be coming from more of the front of the car, so it could be the flex pipe too. Thanks a ton for the input! I'll try to mess around with it this weekend and see what the results are.

Or it could be the stock exhaust manifold, when I first got my car I drove on a leaky exhaust manifold for a couple months haha.
