'Engine Power Reduced' After launching car hard.

I got for the first time yesterday the engine power reduced warning complete with engine light. 111,000kms on the car and this is the first time this has happend to me.

Car ran fine after I parked it and reset the comp by disconnecting the batt.

Does anyone think I have anything to worry about?

Hopefully it never happens again. It scared the crap outta me. I'm just hoping there was no damage done to the engine that we're gonna find out about later...

Wait, I lied, It happened twice.

I was doing 80 mph once and accidentally pushed the gear selector into reverse.

The car stalled and the transmission started making the most god awful noise on the planet, like a sledgehammer hitting a solid chunk of aluminum. It smelled like burnt ******* too.

The car wouldnt start for 10 minutes, then it started, and ran fine, and I havent had a problem since. (about 7k miles ago)

you mighta overheated if you were sitting for a while...if you get above like 212 degrees and run the car hard, itll go into limp mode with like...60% power or something...i think...

Not extremely. 100+ clicks a day or so. It's the random driving around for the hell of it that really racks the clicks up for me.

Also I have a feeling it happend because I've been babying the car for the past 3 weeks and this was the first time I launched it. I prolly burned off a deposite on my valve or something else equally weak sause.

That happened to my car when the throttle cable or something disconnected. Brought it to the dealer and they ordered a new part and fixed it. Might wanna get it checked just incase.
