My 06 SS Supercharged was making noises like a loose muffler while I was in the car at idle or revving the engine a little. When I brought it to the dealer, we determined that the noise was actually coming from the engine. After a day of searching, the tech found that the problem was a loose guide bolt at upper portion of fixed chain guide. The tech removed the bolt and re-torqued it and locked it in with Loctite. After a fresh oil change, the noise was gone.
