Do you have a code reader? If not is there an autozone nearby? Take it to a place that will read any codes to see what it might be. If not take it to the dealer.

god i need a code reader... that would have helped so much. Will GM laugh me out of a warranty question with the intake?

The intake shouldn't; but a dealer can say that it is what caused you're problem in the first place and charge you for the repair....can you reinstall the factory intake to check if the aftermarket part is what's causing your problem?

Mine would do that EXACT problem every time the intake came off the throttle body, it was actually pulling of because the engine travel under hard acceleration would be more than the intake could move. It should throw a code and mine being auto shifted REALLY hard! I would check for loose connections, try unplugging the MAF and cleaning it with MAF sensor cleaner incase it is oil contaminated. If none of that is it take it to the dealer intake be damned, they can not refuse warranty work for an intake, unless you show up and it isn't hooked up letting air in AFTER the MAF.

so does anyone know if there is permanent damage caused by this? Say my car has a bad maf sensor, we clean it and clear the codes, am i fine to go? This has only been going for about 10 minutes before i stopped driving.

Mine would do it like every other day and I would just drive home anyways. It just can't accurately meter air flow to know how much gas to give it so it starts to read the o2 sensors more, which is slower, way slower, then it gives up and goes into a default limp home mode, I wouldn't drive months like that, but no it will not cause long term damage....IF THAT IS THE ISSUE (per my legal team)

ok cool, so ill send it to the dealer tell them to check codes. if it has anything to do with AFR or airflow ill tell them to check the maf sensor and after that am i set to go?

god i hope that its the maf sensor... i really dont feel like paying for this ****

That's why we make monthly payments right? If it is anything else warranty should cover it (The poster assumes you are in warranty...Legal). Intakes cannot break anything, all your doing is upgrading the tubing from plastic to metal, and getting rid of the noise canceling.
