Question excessive blowby?

Hi i recently bought a cobalt ss/sc 06 model made in 09/05 i have 2100 miles on the engine, no modds at all, and when i take off the oil cap on top of the engine while its running, i can feel air coming out of the hole, and smell exaust gasses. also my serpentine belt is wobbling a little. Is this normal. are all of you with broken-in engines experienceing this? im a little worried because i know you normally only feel air coming out and smell exaust gasses when you have some pretty bad blowby issues, hopefully i wont need any major engine work done.

You aren't supposed to take teh cap off when its running! And its just the smell of oil, not exhaust.

Can we add ab option for I'm an idiot and shouldn't have removed the cap/

Relax man that air coming out is normal. My 04 ECO powered cavi did it, all the people I know with Cavi's had it too. And now my 2.4 does it to. Your ok.

oh and i doubt taking the oilcap off while its running is even slightly a big deal i doubt it would ever set off a cel cause really thats not part of the intake or anything, and that smell was definatly not oil, smelled like i was sniffing the tailpipe, also i think i should have the dealer look at the belt which wobbles for some reason (looks like the crank pully isnt straight) correct me if i am wrong but the only way air can get into the top f the engine is either by crankcase pressure (air coming up with the oil) or by a leaky valve seal? the poll on top says that not many people feel air coming out infact only one of 18 votes voted that they did indeed feel air coming out the valve cover cap.

Try leaving it off then driving around and enjoy the cleanup afterwards

And yes get the wobble looked at.
