Exhaust leak?? Please help!!!!
I bought my car used about 3 months ago, it has just over 61,000 km on it. The first thing I noticed when I was driving it home was a clicking/ticking noise coming from the RF under acceleration. Since then it seems like it may becoming worse, or it may just be the fact I have my windows open and can hear it better now. I went under the car with it running and could not see anything, it does not make the noise when ideling or when off the throttle or under vacuum. Does anyone have any ideas...Again, main problem is a ticking/clicking noise coming from what sounds like the RF when on the throttle. Thanks!
Forgot to ask, are these normal sounds or a problem?

It's a 2006, I'm going to take it over my pit tomrrow and have someone rev it up...check the flex pipe for leaks. Is there any easy fix for it or do I have to replace the entire section? I'm still open to other opinions on what it might be.

So I brought my car over our pit today at work, went underneath and could not hear anything of any exhaust leak. Had someone hold it at 4000 and still nothing...all I could see is mabey the flex pipe or cat chirping a bit. I took my shop foreman out, he says its a normal sound for a four cylinder. Dunno what to think, I have never heard another one so its hard to base an opinion.

Same problem here. I have an aftermarket ZZP midlength header/downpipe combo. Sounds like it's coming from around this section. I've taken it to exhaust shops and they can't find anything work with it. It's SUPER annoying and I wish I knew how to fix. Good luck.

Does your zzp header/downpipe use a cat? I was starting to think it may be coming from inside the cat. It's a hard diagnose, it seems to only make the noise when the engine is making boost, under vacuum it seems fine. Like I said, I had someone hold it at 4000 and with my head right next to the flex and cat could not hear the same noise as when going down the road.

definitely flex pipe. Chevy replaced my down pipe under warranty but than the flex pipe broke again five thousand miles later so I just put a zzp catless down pipe in yesterday. The flex pipe is **** on the stock down pipe.
