My exhaust manifold has a crack in it and I am covered under warranty. How ever. we talked to the dealership and they ordered the part and told us to bring it back when the part was in (tuesday) at 10am. So we took it in and they suggested we go rent a car. We rent a car for a day and not ten mins after driving away from hertz we get a call saying the part will not be in untill the next day. So we had to go back to hertz and pay for another day. Not so bad so far... The next day I wake up and check my voicemail. Sure enough it is the dealership. I am hoping to hear that my car is done and ready for me to come pick it up. NO the damn dealership tells me the part is on back order and no one within 100miles has one to send it. We are less then 10k from going out of warranty and no idea when the part will be available. Is there anyway to order the part myself and have them reimburse me for it? Or anyone on here that works at a dealership able to ship one to my dealership? And no they would not give me my money back on the car rental even though we went to the place they suggested and talked to the person they told us to talk to.

 

I work at a dealer if the part was ordered when you were under warranty when it gets in you will still be able to have it replaced under warranty
