Exhaust Ping

I was wondering if anyone who has had an aftermarket exhaust installed has noticed a distinct ping (sounds like metal hitting metal) when traveling over bumps or rough patches or road. To me it sounds like the rear axle is hitting the pipe and I'm wondering if somehow I lost a mounting bracket. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

From what I have read, the 3" piping has been very well known for causing noise from the rear axle hitting the exhaust on bumps and stuff. The only thing I have heard that may help slightly is by changing the hangar bushings to poly bushings, not sure how much that may help. Worst case that will help with longevity of the bushings

What did they have to do as far as readjusting the exhaust? Is it something I can do at home since the shop that installed it is over 2 hours away?

go outside and crawl up under there... a few zip-ties should work as a quick fix... you can probably get the rubber exhaust hanger thingys at your local autoparts store. It's not like the exhaust system on these cars is hugely complicated.
