Fan Isnt Coming On

I just bought this 2006 cobalt ss supercharged and while running everything is good with the coolant but when at a idle the temp goes up it got up to 106 and i didnt hear the fans come on i was wondering what temp should the fan be kicking on at and could it be a relay gone on it? PLEASE HELP

do you mean 206? the fans wont come on untill the coolant temp is around 230 degrees or so

It would have been nice if the units were added if this is the case. Now on the other hand 223 is pretty damn high.

Turn the AC on defrost and it will kick the fans on . Otherwise for the fans to go on temps have to exceed 223f for low speed 230f for high.

never past 185? my 09 2.2 stays pretty constant at around 196-198 unless at idle and then it gets to 206.

its gotta a bit above it once in line at Mcdonalds i think i went up to about 192 F but other than that its constant 180 to 185

My SS/SC used to hover around 180-181 F . The TC is always 192-194.
