so im driving and all of a sudden i get the "engine power reduced" message on my screen then the CEL comes on and the car has no power. i shut it off for about a half hour then turn it back on CEL light is there but the power is back later afterwards the CEL light goes away. 1 day passes and todday i took it to the dealer to get fixed. they said a peice of carboard was jammed in to the air box and that sucked water up but not into the motor just damaging the MAS. now the car feels weird in 1st and 2nd gear and lurches forward and have to take the foot off the gas at like 2,000 rpms and switch gears. has anyone out there experienced this before??

 

After I took mine in to get it checked (piston #3 misfired) and I started driving it again, it did feel different.

 

well, haha, sucking up cardboard and water would cause issues, yes.

did they replace the maf?

and as far as the car lurching in 1st and 2nd, they are geared pretty low, so the car "bucks" when you let off, it is a combination of throttle by wire, and the low first gear.. i may be wrong.

 

ya they replaced the maf and cleaned out the intake as well as the throttle body..i know it lerches in 1st and 2nd but this is not like it was b4

o ya and me CEL light came on again....roughly 15hrs after i got it back
