Fixed Map Sensor and still having problems.
Fixed Map Sensor and still having problems.
Don;t mean to double post but I noticed at the last minute that no one visited that thread for a while and I need this rectified like asap so that I could get my car inspected. I'm having problems with my CEL coming on. I took it to Autozone to diagnose the problem and fixed it. What it came out to be was a MAP sensor fualty. After installing a new one, I erased the codes, drove around a while and it came back on. Brought it back to AZ and they ran the diagostics again and came back the same thing. Any idea on what could be causing my problems and how can I fix it?
The code to my problem is: P0106. I fixed the problem by replacing the map sensor and I reseted and it's still popping the code, same one. So I'm looking for any suggestions from you guys on what to do. Someone please help!
It's from AZ. I went back to see if I could get another one and they told me they couldn't do it, which I thought was bs cuz it's under warranty. They should give me another anyway, right?
Ya know, I totally forgot to ask my standard question first!
Is the car still under warranty? And if so, why are you messing with it?
I will assume it is not, and my next suggestion is...
Return the Autozone part completely. Put it back in the box and go get your money back. Put your stock part back in. Check the harness (again), this time looking closely at the plugs and terminals for any indication of arcing. Then if you still have a problem, go get a GM replacement MAP and try that.
