Fog Light Question

Fog Light Question

I have a 05 2.2 with the fog lights. I recently installed the H11 luminics oure blue. when i look at the car when the fogs are on there is like a black dot in the middle. it appears to be on the inside of the fog cover. i will get pics later tonight. what is it and how do i fix it? my warrenty is out so what can i do?

are you sure its not the bulb since it only appears w/ the lights on?? if its not to big of a pain try switching the blubs (left in right, right in left) and see if the spot goes away/ or switches lights

Mine have that

Looks like some crusty black crud on the lens. I was supposed to have mine replaced under warranty. They first said they just needed cleaning; that was total b/s. You don't see it until the lights are on. I took it back, the supposedly replaced them and a week later I noticed it again.

I'd love to hear what this problem is.

The pure blue is a higher wattage, is it not?

Given, a higher wattage will undoubtedly create more heat, which could possibly melt the lens if it was plastic.

the lens of the fog case? its only when the lights are on and you cant feel anything from the outside of the lens

stick you finger inside the lense (through the bulb hole) and see if it's burnt.
