Fuel Leak!!!!!
Fuel Leak!!!!!
Hi Guys,
I have a fuel leak coming from the top of the tank where the hoses go into the tank, the hoses didn't seen to be loose. What could it be or has anyone else had this problem?

i had that problem, where the hose met the tank, it was all cracked. and was leaking fuel when more than 7/8's full. i bought a tank from a salvage base model cobalt, and put it in there. $40 fix.
note: be careful with the fuel pump canister and all the hoses, i broke one of the hoses and it turned into a $400 job. but the tank is easy, can be done in less than 2 hours.

I had this issue last year...stumbled upon it while my car was on the lift. Ended up being the fuel pump...Call Chevy and see if you car falls under the recall if not be ready to drop $300 for the part. It was an easy fix which I did myself though...
GOOD LUCK
GOOD LUCK
I'm having the same problem
I contacted Chevrolet about the recall and they refused to pay for the repairs or reimburse me. This is the second recall on my cobalt since I bought it so ridiculous! I will never buy a Chevy again.
I had this issue aswell. I called and they said that the recall wasnt covered in my state. I thought it was so dumb so i printed out like 15 different articles saying that it is a safety issue and could cause the car to light on fire, then i went into chevy and politely said this is rediculous and im not paying for it. So we comprimised. They did the labor for free and i just bought the part. It was like 120 dollars or so.
Good luck and hope i helped. And btw it is definitely the fuel pump. Extreme weather conditions cause the Hoses to crack.
