Exclamation Lights flashing problem...help

Hi I have a 2006 cobalt ss 2.4 auto.

My problem is this and its a little one.

My FOB is broken and use my key to get in out so I know the fob isn't making the lights flash.
By lights I mean the signal lights *yellow*

After I lock my door on the panel on the inside of the car twice it sets the alarm.

Well at dinner time I saw a flash from my car and then I though maybe its my boyfriend playing games. but no I have the keys.. I only have 1 fob....

How can this happen. is my car telling me somthing.. is it a ghost??

it flashes every 2 mins or soo then stops after 15 mins I think

If you are very quiet sometimes you can hear the ghost knocking in the trunk asking to be let out.

I just hold the button down till I hear two or three chimes, close the door and two seconds later it locks and arms the security!

is the fob dead?

I thought I recall you saying you recently bought a new fob?

if the fob batteries were just dead that's easy enough...

have you looked through the owners manual to see if this was a warning deal?

I believe you can set the way the car arms it's alarm when you lock the car w/o the fob - that works on a delay, and I believe you can set the lights to flash ~ or not flash.
