FYI - Headlamp Housing
FYI - Headlamp Housing
So the other day I found water condensation in my driver's side headlamp housing. I took it off to try and dry it out and find the leak with no luck. I went on-line to find a replacement expecting it to cost hundreds of $$$. I went to rock auto and they have the entire assembly with wiring harness and all the bulbs for $48 bucks. I took the plunge thinking that I'd probably have to send it back as a cheap aftermarket China rip-off but it fit perfectly. In the past when one of my headlamps burned out I bought the higher end Silverstar bulbs for about $50 (2 pack). For the price of two headlamps you can have a brand new housing. My other one looks like crap so I'm going to spring for that side too. Just thought I'd let you guys/gals know. One thing that I have to do is swap my Silverstar bulb into the new housing. You can definitely tell the difference in a cheap bulb and a Silverstar.
