gas fillup

has anyone ever had problems with filling their car up with gas, i had under a half a tank last night so i stopped to fill it up, while doing so it stoped atleast four times, at like 3, 4, 8 and then at 13, well 13 was 6 gallons so i thought that it was full, i get in the car and its only a little about 3/4 a tank, has this ever happened to anyone else, or did i just have a bad pump

It was probably just the pump. I have had that happen to me a few times. I usually just move to another pump when it happens.

Used to work in a gas station, what happened is you actually had the nozzle in too far. If it does it again, pull it out just a little bit and try again. There is a sensor in the nozzle, and if you place it wrong, it will cut the pump.

Ok, sorry wasn't clear on that. Those sensors do go bad sometimes though. Just try a different pump, and let the station know so they can get it fixed.

Nothing wrong, happens when you pump fast, when it does it just squeeze the handel again.
