GAS Milage
Ok I don't know if any one else is having this problem I've been looking on here this morning and I havent seen any post about this! Ok My cobalt has 22,000 miles on it since feb. and untill 15,000 miles I was getting a average mpg of 32.3 but since I hit 15,000 its droped to 27.8 according to the car, so I guess my question is, is it normal for this crappy car to do this?

did you start carrying a bigger load? makes a big diff in these little bastrds. i lost 4mpg on the highway on a roadtrip w 2 extra ppl in the car. that and your tires dont grow as much from heat. but that wuld only make a .5mpg diffrence or so

20.5 on the DIC here! But it's a lying piece of sh*t! I clocked 100 miles on the odemeter and used just about 4 gallons on it, all city--so around 25mpg which is better than rated.
I just ignore the DIC now.

I reset the DIC every time I gas it up...it used to be accurate...but not for a while now. Doesn't bother me...
It'll be accurate for the first few minutes when it does the second-by-second updating..but after that...all downhill.

don't forget when you count miles and divide by gallons, there's a few very important things you're forgetting to add in... gas used to start the car, gas used to idle, gas used while stuck in traffic but not moving, etc... you can guarantee that the dic is more accurate then any pen and paper method
