How many miles? Probably not worth it and just another way to get money from you.

What exactly is the caliper service? Assuming a front rebuild? If so, you can do that yourself, the kits will cost you $20+tax and about an hour and a half total.

Rears, they aren't rebuildable AFAIK. Then again they could just be doing a lube and cleaning. If that's the case you better hope they're lubinb cause they sure aren't cleaning, if you know what I mean....

They will probably take your wheels off and relube the pins and contat point on the caliper so that it doesnt seize.
This is something I would do in the spring ,But I do it myself.
Ever do a brake job and wonder why one pad is wore(same side) way thinner than the other .Pins should have been lubed.

That's exactly what this service is; Releasing the calipers & popping the pads out so the slides can be cleaned, lubed and the pins can be checked for lube and a good boot seal. Easy DIY, but is nearly as time consuming as changing the pads. This service will definitely extend the life of your brakes if you live in the rust belt.

As someone who started with serious brake issues at 20k.......it's not just a high mileage thing. Regular maintenance type thing yes, but it should be done EVERY brake change at an absolute minimum. More often if you live in the rust belt like someone else said.
