Im bakc after bashing gm's cars. I bought a base 2.2 for work (i drive 200 miles a night). Got the pile for 10k brand new. Supporting my Previous thoughts. My 4th gear has grinded since day one and this pile of garbage gets 28 mpg hwy. If you intelligent people have any ideas lemme know. and the tailpipe is full of carbon.

Take it to the dealership sounds like you may be running rich meaning the cat is burning off more fuel and that equals more carbon in the exhaust.

Since this car is new and so recently purchased and not modded at all that would be your best bet for a solid fix.
