So I finally ended up getting that side curtain airbag recall done a few weeks ago, and guess what? My sunroof button molding was hanging by 1 clip when I picked up my car, and of course there was nothing they could do at this dealership, and I already had them "fix" it twice.

Today I went to another dealer (I had them fix the molding about 7 months ago and it stayed on until the other dealership did my recall) and told them about it to see if I could get it fixed again up there. I figured it wouldn't be a problem, but the lady says that if their dealership didn't do the recall, they can't fix the sunroof problem under warranty... Even though the stupid sunroof thing has been falling down for 2 years, not just since I got the recall.

Needless to say, I'm pissed. I thought I could get any dealer to do it? Tomorrow my daddy is gonna go complain, so we'll see how that goes.

 

well if your car is out of its bumper to bumper...that makes perfect sense to me. its not there responsibility and how do they know it wasn't done by you after the recall

 

my car is actually sitting at the dealership right now for the same sunroof button,

 

had mine done almost 3 months ago and never been the same, sunroof rattles like crazy, the trim had to be redone, etc....

 

It's not out... I still have 6000 miles left.

And I know it wasn't done by me after the recall because... When I picked my car up, it was HANGING THERE, like I said.

 

You should be able to take it to any chevy dealer for warranty repairs.
