Grease them Lock!!!!

I noticed me and a few other cobalt owners noticed that sometimes the locks on these cars seem to malfunction and not work sometimes. HMMM... i found the fix, we need to grease them up at least once or twice a year. I had this problem of the door not opening or shutting right. I then sprayed some Nut and bolt penetrating(sp?) grease and ever since it works perfect. so grease them locks up!!!

if you are talking about the outside part of the lock, you could spray stuff on the key.........like lube.........and stick it in.........

You should lubricate the locking mech and all moving parts on the door(s), trunk and hood once per year. This keeps them working good and keeps them from freezing in the wintertime if you are in a cold part of the country.

Please, do not use penetrants (WD40 and the like) for lubrication...they are NOT lubricants.

Dry graphite or silicone is what you want, just don't use too much....the excess graphite will come out on the key and you do not want that stuff on your clothes
