had the car for 1 month

I've had my ss/sc for one month. So far my cruise control has stopped working twice( a few days after i bought the car, then I had them fix it, which it stopped working 1 hour after I left and today a different dealer couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work) and I also had to have the rotors cut today because of a pulse and crazy grooves in them. I don't drive the car hard and bought it with 10k on it used. Just thought I'd share, my dealer said to call GM and complain because of the problems. The cars been back twice in one month.

When I took mine for a test drive, the cruise didn't work. I checked on here and it seems to be a common problem..but they said they fixed it and it worked when I left the dealer...I've read some people say you can just unplug the battery for a while to let the computer reset, and then it will work after that... maybe give it a shot, see if it helps??

It is a very common problem on the SS's because it has 2 sensors on the clutch pedal (one for pressed down, one for let all the way up) and if you do not let your clutch pedal all the way out every 5th time before 25 mph, it will disable your cruise control! You need to relearn how to drive as I did when I first got the car! Just remember to fully take your foot off the clutch pedal and you will be just fine!!!!!

That was also my problem. Had to teach myself to take my foot right off the clutch. Just unplug you neg bat cable for 5-10 minutes, reconnect it and all will be copasetic.

I don't think its aused car thing. The car only had 10k miles on it..I think its a badly built car by GM. Don't get me wrong, i love the power(besides the stupid ass first and second gear ratios being far apart.) and the handling. I just didn't expect it to be in twice in a month.

I don't rest my foot on the clutch at all. it always goes into the "dead spot" to the left of the pedal. Nor do i ride the clutch starting off(just a quick slip with teh rpms staying at around 1000rpms) either, i've driven manual cars since i've been driving...i always reach for the clutch when i drive an auto...lol.

I'm jsut wondering what chevy has done for you guys that keep having the same problems over and over? Also, what happens when the bumper to bumper is up at 36k?

thats why i'm asking what chevy has done for the people that havwe the same problem over and over again. I've had the car for a month and the cruise control has broken 3 times in that period. So over the next 2 years I should expect it to break 30+ times and have to pay for it after the warranty is up? Don't post useless **** in my thread tard.

I realize you pay for everything after the warranty, tard, that is common sense. My question is does gm extend warranties because of issues that don't stop happening. How come 2/3rds of the people on here are ******* stupid, i'm done with this site. I've only talked to two peopel on here that were helpful in all of my threads. Can a moderator please cancel my account.

no they wont extend your warrenty. they will honor it for how many days it was in the shop(legally they have to). Example: if you have it in the shop for over a month total they give you a month longer of warrenty. if you havent had problems and your warrenty is up you will pay. and u think im a tard your the one lacking common sense. read the fine print before you buy a car. im the only one giving you a straght answer. your the one who started the name calling. when you obiviously dont know jack. so please continue on with your STUPIDITY. its called buy out the extened warrenty. then your good to 100k... and how am i the tard when you have answered your own question? you really make me laugh. SHORTBUSSFTW!!!
