Question Need help with a squeak

I have what sounds like a metal on metal squeak coming from the rear interior of the car. If I fold the rear seats down, the squeak goes away so I'm pretty sure the latches are the culprits. I've tried spraying wd-40 on them as well as wrapping the latches on the seat backs with electrical tape. This did reduce the squeak, but not get rid of it entirely.

Does anyone have a fix or suggestion other than leaving the seats folded down, turn up the radio, or drive the grocery getter?

Thanks

B

Do you have any idea as to what they did to fix it or what the TSB # is?

I too have this sound and would like to know how to fix it. My dealership always says they can't find it.

There's a TSB??? Whooo-Hoooo!
I put a microfibre towel in between the leather and the latches and that worked fine but after reading this I'll bring her in and fix it properly. Thx!

Sounds like that johnson rod is acting up again... or maybe its your mcjackson cork screw..... ;-)

I would be curious to see what this "squeak reduction tape" looks like.
