my car is at the dealer right now.
they are changing my crank shaft sensor because the godamnn car shutted down on an heavy accelaration last friday. limp mode?? the tech said its better to change the sensor because maybe it will append again. right? i dont know.
anyone else had changed his crank sensor? why?

wasn't on my cobalt but on my old taurus, it wouldn't start once in a while because of the crank shaft sensor. over time it just got more frequent, the engine would crank but wouldn't start. I never had problems once I got it started though.
yeah its actualy a frequent probllem as far as I know, but most people it only happens once nad never again, it happened to me once nad never has since, Ive heard of people get CPS relearns though .....never heard of it getting replaced

the tech insisted to remplace it. the order on the part was done before i knew what was the problem. he sugested me to leave the car in the garage for the weekend since it was friday and he had to order the part. i picked up the car at 3 this afternoon and the car run normaly. i drove it all the weekend tho whitout anyproblem.
