Headlight flasher color : which year?
Headlight flasher color : which year?
3 days ago I had my right headlight replaced because it was always foll of fog....
Well, they installed the wrong model! My original headlight (still original on the left side) has a orange reflector around the flasher / drl... the new one does not!
Did this changed over the years?
Stupid dealer... it was not even aimed!

As far as I know, the turn / marker on the front lost the amber cover for the 07 (and up) models, same time as the drl's went to the headlights.
Would be bitching out the dealer for getting the wrong light, not noticing it when they installed it, and not aiming it. Pretty sure aiming is called for when a headlight is replaced. Heck, even changing the bulb can throw the aim off a bit.
Even new from the factory the headlights are often poorly aimed. My drivers side was down about 5" at 20', pretty much useless. Passenger side was almost spot on, go figure.

Aiming them is a no brainer for sure but the dealer sure as heck should have done it IMHO.
Not to mention getting the right light in the first place. I'd be choked to be honest.
Over the turn signal (round) or on the side facing marker light (almost square)?

Went to the dealer this morning... they had to call GM to be sure... Just got a call from them.. they'll have the correct headlight tomorrow morning... But I asked them to install it myselft... The guy told me he had to ask his boss about it and call me back.
Thx all for the answers.
We'll see...
Stupid dealer.
