Angry Heater switch lights not working

i changed my oil yesterday and i dont see how this could be related but my heater/fan switch lights ( 1,2,3,4 power settings) arent working properly, seems 1 and 2 are fine but then 3 dims out and 4 isnt even there at night, Oh and the three buttons below my fan switch are doing the same thing, started out lit from the left and dimming all the way out to the right. any way i can fix this? get them all lit back up?

that is strange! Is your car still under warranty?

If so just take it in to the dealer!

Sounds like you need to replace the light in the HVAC control swich. Not sure how easy that is, but sounds like one of the lights is burnt out.

yup, i dont think they sell just the back of the controls, although the part with the knobs and switches detaches from the rest of the HVAC unit, when i replaced mine i only could find the whole unit, its not tht expensive on ebay.

to get it out follow the steps to get your interior trim off, then you will see there is 4 bolts holding the hvac unit in place. take those off and unclip the plugs from the bak. i would say 30 min of work, ur going to need a flat head screw driver for the trim clips and a socket wrench for the hvac screws. i forget what size socket but im pretty sure 10mm

You can get the a/c controls off e-bay for ~$30 and the screw is a 7mm.
