hello fellow cobalties

hey there. my friends 92 cav. today he started the car and when he took hand from the key it sprung back by it self and car turned off .. . key is stuck in there to . he was driving it holding key in run postion . lol any help for my buddie

a cavalier forum might give you a little more help seeing how much cars have evolved in the last 14 years.

actually, they evolved quite a bit.
his ignition cylinder is shot. there is a retainer inside the column that has broken... either junkyard parts or order it from the dealer. Takes may 45 minutes to change.
