Help: brake light not working.
Help: brake light not working.
Hoping for a simple problem, simple fix; just need a bit of guidance.
The bulb works. When I have my headlights on, all tail lamps light up properly.
When I apply the brakes or the left turn signal, the left light does not brighten appropriately.
Problem, solution, suggestions? Thanks.

Well that's the first thing I did, because I know there's a fuse for essentially every headlight function. However, there are no corresponding fuses for tail lamps under the hood or in the passenger footwell.
Faster of course when I put on the left turn signal.
when u apply the turn signal does it do the clicking noise faster or the same? (click.....click.....click..... or click..click..click..click..)
You need a new bulb. It is possible to burn out the brake light (brake/signal) but still have a working tail light. I think it's a dual filament bulb, but I know I had the opposite problem with mine this past week, had brake light, no tail light and it needed the bulb replaced.

Change the bulbs and it'll be fine.
Yeah but be careful, I've bought more tail lights than I can count on two hands, but it turns out I had one blown center trunk brake lightbulb and as soon as I replaced that I haven't had to replaced a tailight since.
Swap the bulbs and see if it follows. If so, it's the bulb.
What can occur with the bulbs our cars use is that one of the filaments won't completely burn out, but will be lame. It'll still work, but not very well.
