Could be relay or a bad clutch, open the hood and start the car turn A/c on and listen for a click noise that will be the clutch engaging on the compressor I would also physically look to see if is spinning as well just be care ful DO NOT reach in inside the enginge compartment while engin is running

I had huge issues with my AC a few months after I got my SS. The compressor was burned out, the Evaporator (cold side in the cabin) was bad, and some of the tubing was bad. The only thing which I thought could have been wrong was that the condenser was damaged (had just installed the CA H/E).
After a month of the dealiership dicking around it got fixed.

To check to see if your compressor is engaging start the car with the AC off. let it run and settle down to normal idle. then hit the AC button and you should hear/feel the engine adjust for the load increase. you should also hear a click as the AC clutch engages.

I don't know what is wrong, but is your Balt under warranty??? Has been really hot up here in Daytona. I feel bad for you in Boca especially. Here is a quick fix: when not raining lower windows, always works for me.

When I had my accident I turned my temp. regulator to hot and it was cooler. Try that, if so it should be the condenser.

after you turn on your ac you should here your compressor turn on and its a clicking sound, another thing to check is your blower hear to see if its working which is on the passenger side under the glove compartment

the blower insde is working because air is stll being pushed out of the vents.

My cooling fan is not turning on now when i try and turn on my AC. which makes me think its a relay.

Advanced auto is the worst store that iv ever been to. the stupid guy didnt kno wht a relay was. I have to g pick some up at the chevy dealer later and see if thts the problem.

The AC lines are litterally HOT to the touch after driving

Ah good point their might be enough pressure in there when you checked it but not enough to run the compressor.

I just read this entire thread and it's exactly the same problem that I am having as we speak. I'll take a look but if you guys found a solution or someone else experienced this, please let me know what it was.

wow guys, relax with the relay stuff and all that. compressor won't turn on with low levels. take a black light all over your AC components and see what glows, hopefully you have dye from the factory. go over your condensor directly behind your front bumper, your compressor(front compressor seals) and the lines that go out of your firewall. report back after this.

also, interior cobalt issues SUCK! customer states top vent doesn't work...well snap

-mother-of-god- lmao
