Help- Car Wont Turn Over

Went to get in my car this morning and it wouldnt turn over! Waited a few hours and had my buddy try and boost me, nothing...a light in the dash with a lock comes on, but still cant turn over. I assume its something to do with the battery saver, can anyone shed some light on getting past this to boost the vehicle so I dont have to get my car towed in??

Kinda dont want to be hassled about the trunk mount meth kit and my aftermarket 60lb injectors and custom tune. I still have some warranty left on the vehicle and dont want to have to remove my meth kit before the tow?

Not sure, probaly, didnt think that had anything to do with the car not turning over??

Is it worth it to just go buy a battery charger from a local auto store and charge the battery over night?

I thought that lock thing on the dash had something to do with your remote to open your doors. Do you have an aftermarket alarm system?

when i say locked steering wheel i mean like after the car is off by accident you turn the wheel while getting out and it locks... if its locked the car will not start and you have to move the steering wheel to loosen it to start it...

the lock symbol looking thing on the dash is the light for the factory security system. the car is equipped with passlock3. which means that when you put the key in the ignition and turn it, it sends a encripted code to the bcm or pcm and the conputer has to reconize it to start the vehicle. my best bet is something isnt seeing the correct or matching code causing the car not to start or turn over

So what would cause this, and what would the solution be??? anyone

Also would this still cause no power to
the power locks? when I got out of the car I had to manually lock the doors

either the key or the securiity module went bad, now that you have tried to start it 3 times with what it thinks is an invalid key, the pcm gets locked out by the security module, needs to get towed to the dealer.

I am kinda hoping that its a dead battery and something i dont need to bring in for warranty seeing how I have a custom tune and aftermarket injectors, not to mention the big honking methanol injection kit in my trunk!

would removing the battery all togather help and then reinstall?

I am pretty sure that I didnt leave any accesories running when i got out of the car??

Does this seem like a symptom of a passkey problem?

in the grand am, the security light would flash, and i would have to wait around 15 min for it to stop then try to start again. but i'm not sure at all about the newer cars how it works...i would def try to unhook the battery then try to start it again, that should reset the passlock computer...if that doesnt work, prolly then contact the dealer and see what ur options are.

Stolen car

I also heard if you leave the key in the run position for 45 minutes it will relearn the key

I could be wrong.
