Help with codes, TC light, hard shifting please!!
Hi everyone this is my first post on here, I have taken my car to three mechanics and no one has been able to help me figure it out off hand... my check engine light is currently on with codes P0013, P0014, and P1174 and the traction control light is on as well. When the traction control light is on I can feel my car do a hard shift/jolt from first to second gear usually shifting up but sometimes shifting down. (the car is automatic) The traction light goes off once I turn my car off and sometimes won't go back on until a day later when I'm driving to and from the city in traffic. I also had one mechanic give me a code tip C0561 (I think relating to the ABS system?) saying "PCM or BCM diagnoses condition preventing Engine Control portion of traction control function & sends serial data message to EBCM indicating torque reduction is not allowed." It also says that it is for info only and the DTC indicates there are no problems with the ABS/TCS system. If anybody can make any sense of this or let me know what is going on I would really appreciate it because my main concern is the jerking when the car tries to shift gears because I don't want to be causing more damage the more I drive it. Sorry for the lengthy post and thanks!!
The 13 & 14 is the exhuast cam sensor. Cheap and very easy to fix. Change your intake sensor at the same time if you want. Be sure to blow with pressured air or quick pressure wash the area around the sensors. This will fix your tc and hard shifts
Hey I am having the same problem. I have called a dealer and have done some research but for a 2.4L the research says that there isnt an Intake Senser listed for the car. Does it go under a different name? My car is a 2006 Cobalt SS 2.4L, Automatic

It's not the position sensors, its the vvt solenoids. Replace both.

12655420 INTAKE ACTUATOR SENSOR
OP fix the sensor and it will fix the hard shifting from the auto.
The trans is trying to protect itself by shifting fast and with high pressure,
hence jerky shifts. Mine did this when the intake sensor went bad, your is the exhaust sensor.
