HELP! jump starting car
Even when push starting it, you need the battery power for
1: Fuel Pump
2: Fuel Injector
3: PCM
4: Exciter field for Alternator ( I think they call it a generator on our cars )
5: Throttle Valve
6: Gas Peddle
7: Mass Airflow Sensor
8: Ignition Coils
If the battery is too weak to run any of that,
you can push start all day, and it wont work.
Learned that lesson the hard way with a friend's
pickup a few years ago.
Now if it's carburated Diesel you could probably
get it started/running with no battery at all, but
you'd never get any power from your alternator
because it's not equipted with a PMG (Permanent
Magnet Generator)

The engineer who came up with that design can KISS MY ASS!!!

Stupid **** like that is why i HATE engineers!!!!!!!!!
Ive seen cars do that before. One ladys car died, needed a jump and it would even let her put the car into neutral. This ment I had to drive into the grass to get to the front end so I could jump her.
That makes me want to kick the guy who designed it that way so hard in the *****
that hes spitting out his dick!
There i ZERO excuse for that design
Is there a way to disable that feature? I would count that as a
worthwile modification...
Mine was all the way dead and that yellow light with the car and key or something like that came on but it still started after I got my good cables out. Dont use shitty cables.
