I have a 05 cobalt and my fuel pump cuts out to early, I also have a 07 with a good fuel pump but the connector on the 05 is 2 plugs on pump on the 07 it's 1 plug am I able to take the wiring and use it on the 05 from the 07 when I look up wiring diagram it shows its the same plug ect am I able to convert that over ? Ok I'm gonna have to switch charcoal filter if so bc the fuel pressure sensor is on the pump ,on the 07 it's on charcoal filter

 

Ok I probably should have started here I bought a 05 cobalt it runs good but has a random misfire when u stop at red lights it would stall out ,the other day it died going down freeway I fixed all codes with my parts cobalt and seemed like it fixed it I had the issue of my fuel filter leaking out the single port side had it locked in no leaks and out of nowhere starts leaking again I feel like the fuel pump is not keeping consistent pressure ,any help would b appreciated

 

The issue was really the crankshaft position sensor losing connection after it heated up
