Okay so I heard power steering was different in a cobalt ? how does power steering work in a cobalt I know this may sound stupid is a SS/SC . also 15 min after it said something about my power steering the code for reduce engine power came on I heard this could be realated any help would be so much aprechiated

 

i cant answer the first part of your question but we have a recall on our powersteering pumps, i actually just got mine finally taken care of, the dealer will fix it for free

We don't have power steering pumps, it is an electric motor on the column. There was a recall though.

Call your local dealer, have your vin number handy - they should be able to tell you if the recall was taken care of. If it has not been done yet, they will hook you up......

 

where do I find the vin number ?

 

lol. On the ownership, on your insurance slip, by looking through the windshield onto the vin tag in the dash, by looking under your trunk carpet, by looking on the side of your door for the sticker, etc. etc.
