HELP supercharger very hot!!
HELP supercharger very hot!!
my car is not running right its running around 214 then the thermostat finally kicks in and brings it down, but i wasnt getting but 15lbs of boost when it was hot, i usally get 18!!! The car seems much slower.. what could be the problem??
i just got my spark plugs gapped and this started happening i dunno if this is the problem but they're gapped at .40 stock plugs and im running stage 2, 2.8 pulley, and injen intake. is that about right??
mine stays around 180 when i'm driving and it climbs when i'm sitting in traffic. it has gotten that high but only when the car is sitting. 18psi with the PB 2.8? That does make sense. I have a 2.7 and get between 17-18 and when i slap my 2.5 i'm between 20-21psi.. I dunno.. maybe because i have an exhaust and less backpressure
im satisfied with my boost i dunno how but i do get between 17 and 18lbs.. its whining like crazy but im not really going anywhere!! i dont get it it seems like it should be faster, its like it stutters soon as i downshift like the throttle response isnt right or something
regap plugs to .35 and get a step colder.... also... s/c gets hot when producing that much boost... and once your IAT2 temps get above a certain temp car starts pulling timing and whatnot...
so maybe invest in some NGK Bkr's and heat exchanger?? I dunno what to get everything is failing on me right when im out of money.. My tires are bald as hell and my clutch is going
maybe you should take it easier on you car man.... Ive had mine for over 13000 miles now... much more heavily modded than yours (should be close to 300whp next dyno)... my tires look brand new and my stock clutch still holds as good as the day I brought it home...
1. Find someone with HP tuners and they could set all those values to 100% so you would get full boots despite IAT ,ETC , or COT.
OR
2. Find a away to bring IATs down. so the compter wont limit your boost.
