maybee it bleeds boost when it gets hot...idk. could be a sensor, thermostat, coolant levels, blockage in the lines...all kinds of things.

mine stays around 180 when i'm driving and it climbs when i'm sitting in traffic. it has gotten that high but only when the car is sitting. 18psi with the PB 2.8? That does make sense. I have a 2.7 and get between 17-18 and when i slap my 2.5 i'm between 20-21psi.. I dunno.. maybe because i have an exhaust and less backpressure

regap plugs to .35 and get a step colder.... also... s/c gets hot when producing that much boost... and once your IAT2 temps get above a certain temp car starts pulling timing and whatnot...

maybe you should take it easier on you car man.... Ive had mine for over 13000 miles now... much more heavily modded than yours (should be close to 300whp next dyno)... my tires look brand new and my stock clutch still holds as good as the day I brought it home...

Here is the reason why

see the 60 , 80 and 90 % when you reach those threshold you boost is limited to those figures from max boost.

1. Find someone with HP tuners and they could set all those values to 100% so you would get full boots despite IAT ,ETC , or COT.

OR

2. Find a away to bring IATs down. so the compter wont limit your boost.

ect boost... limited to your ECT (engine coolant temp) when that get to 212deg it pulls boost to 60%
IAT2 gets above 207 deg pulls boost...
